Jamal Gay
Regional General Manager
Jamal joined Noodle with nearly a decade of experience working closely with over two dozen globally recognized colleges and universities to develop, scale, support and improve learning outcomes through the creation of high-quality digital educational experiences.
In former roles as Senior Director and Vice President of Production at 2U, Jamal and his teams created the necessary project and data management infrastructure, workflows and protocols leading to the ongoing iteration and continual improvement of 2U's expansive portfolio of academic coursework. Additionally, Jamal and his teams led the delivery of Semester Online, an interdisciplinary undergraduate program consisting of over twenty credit-bearing course offerings developed in partnership with a consortia of globally recognized American and international colleges and universities. In an earlier role, Jamal worked directly with faculty to develop the creative vision, production and delivery of the online Master of Social Work program at the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and the online Master of Teaching program at the USC Rossier School of Education.
Prior to his pivot into higher education, Jamal was an accomplished multimedia producer and project manager helping Fortune 100 brands extend their marketing activations to hard-to-reach audiences. Jamal co-founded Wonderbox Studios, a Los Angeles-based production company, which partners with globally recognized brands, cutting edge technology firms, and front-line non-profit organizations to produce promotional and cause-based content.
Jamal earned a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications and Film with a minor in Business from California State University, Los Angeles. He subsequently completed coursework in Design Project Management and Digital Media for the Web and Mobile Devices. Jamal is now based in the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area and enjoys golf, photography, and traveling abroad with his wife and young children.
