SHRS joins Noodle Partners as its first Health Sciences partner school.

February 19, 2019

Pittsburgh, February 19, 2019 /PRNewswire/

The University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS) announced today its plan to bring multiple clinically-integrated graduate programs online with Noodle Partners. SHRS joins Noodle Partners as its first Health Sciences partner school.

Noodle Partners will provide SHRS with the expertise to build professional online coursework to increase access to the school’s top-rated clinically-based academic programs. This partnership addresses the latest trends in higher education along with the challenges SHRS faces in receiving more qualified applicants than the school can physically accommodate.

SHRS chose Noodle Partners because of its flexibility and ability to customize online programming to meet the needs of the various professional degrees offered, affording SHRS the ability to maintain the rigor and quality of clinically-intense programs in a distance format.

“We believe our distance education programs will attract prospective students from across the country and beyond, particularly drawing the interest of students in rural settings who can now work towards a quality degree from a prestigious university,“ SHRS Dean Anthony Delitto said. “Our hope is that these students, upon graduation, will elect to remain in their communities providing needed skills to often underserved populations. This tenet reflects one of the strategic initiatives of SHRS and the University of Pittsburgh.”

The partnership marks a significant accomplishment for Noodle Partners, a rapidly-growing online program management (OPM) company that will chart new territory for clinically-integrated health sciences programs through this venture.

“This partnership signals to us and the industry that we’re a trusted innovation partner for the whole spectrum of higher education,” Noodle Partners CEO John Katzman said. “Together we’re expanding access and impacting lives, especially with these clinical programs.”
